I know what it is! She has too many clothes on in this picture.

On the real, she is sweetly pretty as well as the kind of beautiful that would cause men to kill each other. I've seen the girl do some acting. If I had the cash, I'd cast her.

Well Z,

I guess I have been put in my place eh?

The movie sucked.

No, i was just messing with ya, I saw an opportuity and went for it. I understand what you mean, and i'm not trying to change anyone's opinion. What is crazy is that imdb link of yours maverickstunts. That is one hell of a resume. It might be that being blunt and opinionated comes from experience, because you reach that point in life when you say things how you want and also because you just dont give a ****. I apologize for the profanity moderators. Man i hope they dont catch me, i'm always doing this... :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

The only problem I had was that they decided to stretch the story across two films instead of making it self-contained. I didn't know this coming in and I kept waiting and waiting for that big climax that would tie up all the plot threads. There's 15 min left and stuff keeps happening and I was like "uh, how are they going to end in time?" When the credit roll I was kind of disappointed. But overall though it was an enjoyable film, just too long and aimless at times.

I think I've figured out why 2 didn't have the power that one had 1.
This is my opinion, but, 1 had an Raiders of the Lost Arc quality as well as the same level of suspension of disbelief.
2 went beyond Temple of Doom in it's camp and cartoon in it's combat. It didn't need to be that far over the top to entertain. It already had all of the elements. I know this will offend people, but I expected to see Goofy and Pluto running though the background on the water-wheel scene.

Kiera is definitely one of the hottest women around right now. She takes one heck of a great picture. But has anyone else noticed that she uses the same facial expression in almost all her photoshoots?

I'm serious. Kiera has a "Blue Steel".

Saw it last night.
It was ok, entertaining definatly, but it left me semi dispointed. The alck of ending no more than a set up left me and other disapointed in the plot overall and the whole experience was over as the movie ended, with no closure what so ever. I think #3 will be a 3-hour over comedic flop with little value beyond giving #2 the ending it so sorely needed.

--- SPOILERS ---

2 rolling-down-hill scenes? Both where entertainging in their own right, and both had little details that helped keep the interest. But it was way to far over the top. That beeing said, the wide shot of Jack's legs sticking out of the water wheel did make me laugh. And I liked the cool camera turning with the wheel shots too. - Must hav ebeen a hellufa fun sequence to shoot.

The more open (flatter) wooded areas for both the ball and the wheel looked very alike to me, and that bugged me a bit wondering if the same location had been used. Anyone notice/feel this?

The ending (lack of) sucked. I agree with the "Longest trailer" coments from earlier. The movie does not stand by itself. And I don't like that. I mean over 2.5hours, open ending with everythign going badly.. What do they think they are? LOTR II?

The whole 3-way love triangle thing was intriguing. For exmple where the 3 men (who all had a thing for Liz) fighting over the box, or her? And her reaction to it all (pouting) was pathetic, much too pathetic for her character.
I feel that the whoel 2nd island coudl ahve been left out and the chest shoudl have just been retreived from womewhere else, or much much faster. - now about from that little rum-laden island where Jack spent some time in the first movie. It would have been funny and had no hills or water wheels.

Loved the line included in the trailer about the lack of a dress in jack's room. Good stuff.

In fact thh film had many many one lines, both spoken and visual. Posibly too many, but that's what the film was about to me. It became farse very quickly and left any real sence of adventure. It seemed to me that the plot was there only to hold the jokes and slapstick humor together, and thus the plot should have ended when the jokes did at the end of the movie.

Props to Rich, always fun to see familer names in the credits :)

The final scene after the credits was for some strange reason hyped up among the audience and many stayed for it. The 3 second joke shot of the dog turned out to be a big let down after a long agonizing wait. Everyone seemed rather disapointed after one last laugh so long waited for "very funny, but that was it?" - But then again, I belive that sort of echoed feelings of the whole movie.

My overall rating? 7/10

What? You saw the movie but didn't watch the credits? Shame on you!

--- Post Credits Scene SPOILER ---

Ok, After the credits in POTC2-DMC there is a 1 shot scene.
The shot starts on the group of canibals on the island around the fire and pans over to the throne of the cheif (who tradiationally becomes dinner) and sitting on it we see, the dog!
