Here are a few screen grabs of some footage I shot this morning of behind the scenes of an interview in our office for the Today Show to air tomorrow morning july 13, 2006.

This one I thought came out pretty good I used the lighting from the interview just behind and above the interview camera

This one was taken just off to the right of the interview camera

This one you can see I washed out the on the left as I opened up the iris to get the photog in the shot.

Ha! love the last grab!

shorts and tennie's... geez...

p.s. the other's look great, also. Esecially the first.

Gotta love the chest up interviews. He never wears pants for interviews always shorts unless he is filming a stand up shot then he wears the whole suit... HA!!!

Looks good. Only two things. His shirt has a magenta hue and it would be nice to bounce a little light on the left side of his face. just a reflector could likely even do the trick.

Yes the first is good but ditto on the reflector. Unless you're going for that kind of look, but i can't see why you would be in an interview...

I love the look. Really good, and you should really pan down the camera during the shooting...heh
But i do agree with the point on using a reflector..i felt the lighting looked a bit unnatural...but thats just me

Thanks for the comments on the grabs. I agree with you on the reflector. But I had no control over the lighting or even the actual shooting of the interview. I was just shooting some behind the scenes footage for the interviewie(excuse spelling) for B-Roll in a media kit. The interview was with a photog for the today show. So I had no control of how or what he did lighting wise or even the actual shooting of the interview. I just got creative and climbed on the couch and shot above and behind the camera on the 1st grab. the 2nd grab i was actually stood next to the camera and tried to get the shot he was getting for the interview. It is nice to know the photog so he was totally cool with me wandering around behind him filming. It helps that he is a friend......
Thanks again for the comments.... This was my first time using the DVX just got it 3weeks ago and had been unable to get any footage shot till now!
