Hi,

My short film, The Wine Bar is screening at the Pioneer Theatre on Saturday, July 22nd at 3:30pm. It is 12 minutes long and was shot using the HVX and the P+S Mini35 adapter.

I'm holding off on posting footage until I can get a better server situation going...last time I posted footage, everyone was complaining about download speeds and it killed my bandwidth for the month...

I am TOTALLY psyched for the screening...hope you all can make it!

I would really love to see this flik, but I live in California. Too bad I missed you by about two years because I used to live in midtown about 3 blocks from the empire state buildling. ...sigh... I miss manhattan.

Anyway, I loved the still you posted earlier. Would love to at least see a trailer. I think you'll need to put something up if you're expecting to sell the finished film via your website. Good luck at the screening and congrats.

PS: how are you projecting the finished flik? Did you do a film out? Is it going to be in HD?

The finished product is being projected from a BetaSP master...not too happy about it, but it's all they can show. I ended up making a DigiBeta and HDCAM master, but they don't have the decks and renting one for the day is going to be too expensive. If there is anyone in NYC who has a deck they'd be willing to rent for a couple hours at a reduced rate, please PM me...

As for the trailer, I agree...I just haven't been able to come up with one that works without giving away too much of the film. I always find it hard to make trailers for shorts...I'm going to try again today and if I can figure out a way to make it work.
