hey peeps!

well i was at a pre-gig sound check with my band and had my lil' camera with me so fooled around and i shot footage of my drummer jamming by himself. We were in a dark Blues club with typical red, yellow and blue stage lighting...yuck... and really nasty for my DVX! anyway i decided to take the nasty footage and treat it for CC, Anyway i came out with a really nice stylised feel to the footage, well at leaste i think so.... what'ya think?

here are some screen grabs of before and after CC,
and here is a link to a the compressed video....

Looks good. Much better than the originals. It's funny that I'm currently correcting and grading the same type of footage. Red lights + Mini DV = Crap.

Color correction here really made a huge difference...I wish i could achieve similar results - I never quite got how to make colors 'pop'. All I know how to do is auto color correct, and the rest is just randomly fiddling with options in permiere...

good job on color correcting...don't know if i would've done that though...isn't concert footage supposed to show the stage lights??? :)

i did see your thread on making colors pop...people ask me how i get my stuff...please SEARCH for 5 Days...all i do is use the quicktime HSL and boost the saturation.

Unix, it was wmv.
novelt, i hear ya but as u can see it's not concert footage, hehe.
malcom, fiddling with **** in Prem pro is exactly what i do... just keeping taking note of what your fiddling is doing and you'll get the idea of whats potting.
remember i did plenty of subtle CC first and then thought f*ck it i want something stylisted, and sharp

ya. . . .
