The 4th in P-ville

This was shot over the weekend of the 4th. Didn't have the time to get any fireworks into the footage. But I still managed to put some explosions in. It would be nice if I had something to post like a short or something. But I'm sure some people will like this. The music is from the "Black Hawk Down" sound track.

Choptop is right, Placerville. I went to high school there and go back every month or so. The lake is up above Placerville in Pollock Pines. Great place to go if you want to shoot guns or go 4-wheelin.

Huh... when and where?

El Dorado... way back... 83.

Lived in Pleasant Valley. Will be back there this weekend... Sierra Vista Winery. :D

Also, this reminds me not to let my friends film my combat drills if I don't even get close to hitting any of the targets. :)

Yeah Doug I just happened to be shooting at the same place as Neil and he wanted to show some of his moves...hahaha.

I went to El Dorado High School, '97. Ponderado was for the rough and tumble bunch as I remember it. Kind of like Independence School.

THoff, we really only need to protect our ears. I know we should be wearing safety glasses or something but what can I say. We're just really irresponsible I guess.

Hey dogcat, can you do me a favor and keep stuff like that to your self. Everytime someone says something like that it goes on for three more pages about how guns are evil and stuff like that then the thread gets killed. So if your going to say anything talk about the look of the clip not your political view about guns. I would like to talk about the whole gun thing but as I've been told many times this isn't the site to do it at.

Tom Lowe, no I didn't use a steadicam. I also had the OIS turned off. I wish I had it turned on and had my matte box on the camera. That extra weight would have helped a little in smoothing out the shots. I'm sure I'll get some more stuff when I go up there again in two weeks.

Point well taken Drew ol' boy. Guns are fine, mind you that music makes it sound like a training video for Iraki enlistment. (whoops, let's leave those worms in the bag) Love the skating stuff, though it doesn't look quite as expensive as your other skate footy. Keep it up, can't wait to see more.

Thanks dogcat. I was thinking the same thing about the music when I put it in there. But it was really the only thing I could think of that fit the different subjects that were in the clip.

Jobes, I used a Canon 20D to shoot all of my timelapse. I'm trying to get the HD section of my site done sometime this week and put an updated timelapse reel on there in either 480p or 720p. If I can keep the file size down I will have 720p on the site.

I should leave your' post alone, but that track makes the footage very powerfull. Some serious undertones there. I can tell you like beats, your' music selection is always top notch, and dead on.
