Italia vs ?

Portugal or France? After the 2000 or 1984 Euro Cup where we lost for the european champion (France) and we accomplished the 3rd place and two years from the Euro_2004, the 2nd place... Today we will be know if it will be possible to make history...

I'm sorry my english fellows! But my motherland deserved it 40 years later from the World Cup England 1966 where we achieved the 3rd place and you were winner after beating the best team of that World Cup: Eusebio's team...

PS

Among the 3 world former soccer champions, Portugal is the only 10 million country there...

Today, I'm a proud portuguese as I've been regarding our history where there are more than 200 million people with the portuguese as their mother language... I'm sorry abroad folks, but I hope that today it may be our day again!

I can't believe you guys held it together against the netherlands, but I would be scared today, Zidane and Henry are playing like madmen right now.

I'm pissed caused the US played toe to toe with Italy ... but like total jackasses in the other two games.

Hum, Emanuel...
Portugal is the most violent team of this world cup...
I don't see in this fact a reason to be proud of this team.

The match between Portugal and the Netherlands was really a shame.
You finished at 9 against 9, if I remember...

I just hope tonight you'll try to be fairplay.

But they have Deco, Figo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carvalho, Maniche and so on...

I mean, I could list as many players for France ... I just wanted to point out i haven't seen the magic from Portugal as much as I have from France.

But we're all infallible anyway considering we're picking the winners before it happens.

I'm just glad I get to watch some futbol today.

Salut cher ami!

This isn't true! We are fighters, not violent people!

It's true but if you well remembered, the referee left the players play hard against Cristiano Ronaldo without to do nothing... And when, we hadn't him, he tried to stop what he could get it before. BTW, the two red portuguese players don't left the game for violent behaviour... Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the other players, including Rooney@our_last_game against England...

I just hope tonight you'll try to be fairplay.

We completely agree! So, this time, we hope a different score comparing the Euro Cup 2000 & 1984! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

The Nederlands players weren't very nice. I agree.

lol

Do you know the Deco's nick? The magician...

As matter of fact, he is one of the best players of the world... Ronaldinho don't let him to go to Chelsea...

Hey Emanuel, what do you think about Figo headbutting that other player ? Rooney gets a red card and sent off for a little push, and Figo ? Nada.

My girlfriend is Brazilian and her second team after Brazil is Portugal. Don't forget you'll have to play Italia, if you get by France. If you beat those two teams (cleanly ) then you'll deserve the win, and I will have to hear my girlfriend brag for the next three months

Obrigado. Good luck muchacho.

Cheers.

World cup sucks... :(

Poor Brazil. You've won enough already.

Give someone else a chance... And guess how many Canada has won?

I have no sympathy for brazil, they got outplayed.
Canada and the US have finally just gotten out of the "special olympics" where soccer is concerned. (Well, the men)

I got an idea US, shut down the MLS and make a couple of club teams to play in europe.

and how much fun is Zidane to say after he scores???

Very very very very bad match from the french football team.

WTF...

Honestly on this match france didn't have to go in final.

I like saying Zizoo, Zizoo. Some of that guys touches are a thing of beauty to watch in slow mo.

France = 1 Portugal =0

That's a good idea hybrid. I don't see why Canada or the U.S (especially) can't have better football teams. Maybe if they taught the kids in school how much fun professional soccer/football is : the women, the parties, the money, the fame, and the cool haircuts, more kids in North America would skip boring basketball/football/baseball...

Still, Italy vs. Germany, was the best match I've seen from the World Cup, IMHO. I saw some nice play from Argentina too.

BTW - Owen Hargreaves is Canadian.

Cheers.

I have to stay honest !! Sorry.

But I must add that french learn one thing : be efficient.
Ten years ago, it wasn't the case...

I think that before 2030, USA will be a top soccer team. You just need to build something like NBA for soccer.

Felicitations hvpz et mes amis français!

But the (hi)story worked again... Another penalty again six years later... well, will it be enough?... :(

D_and_G, maybe can you understand that ugly headbutting from Figo two matches before... Did you follow that France vs. Portugal match six years ago?...

EDIT -- BTW, in four years, besides the victories, Portugal had 0 red cards.

I think I was probably drunk when the World Cup was on 4 years ago Emanuel ;).I just remember it being a week of partying. I'm more serious about football now. I guess there's history there ?

Anyway, Portugal did have a talented team, and you guys showed a lot of hard work and passion. Like you said, for such a small nation you should be really proud (I was just kidding with you). Getting to the semi's out of such a big field is great.

Have a great one, mate

Cheers
