test clip from music video

where is she looking or whom is she looking at? She looks up and camera right just slightly. Is your name O'Hara by the way?

As far as look, I like the blown out background look. What else do you have in mind.

I'm pretty sure she's looking at her reflection in the lens. And yes, my last name is indeed O'Hara.

Also liekd the blown out look...

What was up with the EYE thing...i mean its green but explain what you meant haha

Alright, another O'Hara! what's your whole name? mine's thomas joseph o'hara

There's not very many of us out here in California. I've only met one other family that wasn't part of immediate family. I guess there's a whole bunch on the east coast though.

haha, i showed the laser eye to the singer, boy did that suprise her! she said my job is way too much fun.

Looking good. She looks like she's smiling at you filming her or something. I'd like to see the rest when you're done.

I also just learned the whole bezier masking thing in Vegas recently. It's a little confusing since those vertex points move rather strangely at first. You just have to get used to it I guess. Did you feather it in a bit to have it just right?

Can you share you you achevied the look in the first clip and how you changed the eye color in the first?

Here's the updated one, with both eyes changed.

For her left eye (our right side of the frame) I only had to use the color corrector to change the color...nothing else needed. I think because there's not much movement it made it easier.

For the second eye (our left side of the frame) it has a LOT more movement, and it took me quite a while to get it right. I also had to add Radial Blur, and I had to mess with the brightness/contrast a little.

Here's the info on that first clip. I'm not sure what you edit with, but I included a clip that shows the steps I took in Vegas. (they're all layered on top of each other for the final result)

If I don't list it, leave it at 0

I'm gonna make a short tutorial on how to get the eye color changed. i'll post when it's done.

Tjohara,
See? I knew about that contrast. I like having my master ped to -10 usually. Although a friend of mine that has the dvx too says you're going to lose some details in the grey I still like it. Cool!

Yeah, I figure in post I'm going to be making my blacks as black as they can be, so why not just come close in-camera? I'm a fan of trying to get a nice image in-camera, and then doing minimal work in post. (probably because I have a slow computer :) )

tjohara, my whole name is Ryan Patrick O'Hara. I bit irish, no? :)
Yes there is a bunch of us on the east coast. Those potato ships never made it around to the west coast. haha
