Anyone interested in an inexpensive Remote Focus?

Sorry for the delay. Got sick over the weekend and then the basement flooded with all this rain.

I got my first prototype finished. I am going to try to wire up another cool feature in the next day or two.

After that, I need to build the jigs to make sure I am drilling holes in the correct spots.

I hope to be able to start taking orders in the next 2 weeks.
 
I am happy to report that I now Have rack focus working. I know this will come in very handy.

I will try to get a website up soon for people to be able to see and order one.

i'm still interested, so i'm anxiously awaiting seeing what you have. i have had plenty of focus issues lately, and am looking for a better way to work.

Ok I got a preliminary website up... its not finished and I need to get some new pictures up after I build the final version. Currently my workshop has been gutted due to the flooding from the evil rain we had just a little while ago.

As soon as I can get back to work in their, I will post the final pictures and movies. The product is working 100% in case anyone is wondering.

Thanks for sticking out the wait.

One of the coolest features of Focus Buddy is the ability to instantly rack focus between 2 set points. No one else has this feature, but I bet they will quickly copy me ;'P

Does anyone know if there is a remote focus for a DVX100 (not a - not b) that I can use on my fig rig?

Keep it coming. It sounds like you had yourself quite a weekend. I went to the website, I have several questions but I'll wait for you to finish your work. I'm anxious to see how the Iris. zoom and focus all work. As I had said earlier, I have the Varizoom but it has failed (we beat it up pretty bad in Katrina ravaged shoot) and I'm looking for another solution. The rack focus feature is cool, I was able to sorta fake it with the varizoom but one built on purpose ill be great.

Ok... website has been updated!!!! Questions and orders are now ready to go.

My workshop got flooded and I had to rip out the carpet and some dry wall.. the room is kinda messy, but I can get it cleaned up in a day or so.

I just got the remaining parts I needed to go start building these. I hope to have a video of the box in action in the next week.

I need to sit down and make some changes to the layout of the box, very minor but should make it work even better.

I am also looking at getting a custom focus knob made as an upgrade, but it works great the way it is.
