After Jenny had a nice response, it definitely pushed me to go ahead and make another. I had some ideas I wanted to try out with the adapter and editing and such so I tested them on this guy.
It was about 1am in the morning, alone in the apartment again, and I said... "what the heck, lets do this thing."

Don't hate on the lipsyncing skillz too much... keep this in mind, I was trying to keep up with this!

So here it is from the amazing Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

I hope my bandwidth holds up... and yeah, its like 80megs

Cory!!!!
I`m just donwloading, i have no idea what the f*** this one`s going to be like, but i`m psyched already, lol...4 THE GOOD TIME CCCAAAAAALLLLL.... :)
Keep it up, (still downloading)

Turned it off half way through. You're first one was better. I think this is to much like the other. Expand your mind. No one ever got anywhere doing the same thing over and over. I think you have promising talent and a personality to make people laugh, show us you can progress. Explore your creativity, keep pushing.

-ill finish the second half in case i missed something

The end is better, but I still think you have much higher potential, and I wanna see you push your imagination.

Btw, you kind of remind me of Dane Cook, (which is a good thing).

Thanks Prodigy... yes I totally know it's very similar to the other one. Same exact spot, just different lighting and angles. 3 shots for a tripod music video. I wasn't really going for anything new. I really just wanted to test the slow motion effect with a song and I also got excited when I found out that my Fisheye Lens for my Nikon D50 fit my adapter.

This was another quick shoot as well as quick editing. I would love to make a "real" one and put serious effort into it. I seem to always get stuck making instructional videos for people and stuff like that where I have little to none creative control.

Thanks for the input - besides test footage and what not, I promise that the next video I put up here will be something where I push myself. This definitely isn't my best, it's just for fun, and mostly for laughs... so if you laughed at all... then I'm happy. :)

you seem to be sweating a little bit from the massive light needed to use the adapter. lol. by far better than the crappy webcaamera lypsinc videos.

Hey Cory!

You surely have a talent there! The other Bohemian Rhapsody you did is pretty cool too, alhtough the other 80's track keeps up the tension of what's going to happen as the song from Queen is too well known.

I own a small (but with promotor on board that visits MTV weekly) record label in the Netherlands and would like to take the challenge as suggested by others to bring one of your clips our local MTV and see what happens.

Of course you would need a new song to enter MTV with a valid reason, and I cannot promote existing songs of other people, but why not simply take one of my releases and do the same thing to it?

Let me know if/where to send you some mp3's to see if the stuff may inspire you before you can say no:)

Best regards,

Sjors.

Sjors - Wow, what a complement... I'll be happy to check out some songs and brainstorm. I'll PM you with contact info.

link does not work. -- cory, i have the stock dvx100b lens and i am looking to purchase a letus35 (the $300 version). Do I need to purchase another lens (like your canon) to get that filmlike DOF? just wondering... thanks!

The server space I was using dissapeared... I dunno what happened

And yes, you'll need to get a lens... I got all mine on ebay and never paid over 40 bucks. Go for a 50mm, a great all around lens.
