Check out this little demo created with clips from MotionZoneHD.com
No color-correction or adjustments were made, clips right from the site.
This is a 720 24p file 640x360. The original clips were a mix of 720 24p, 1080 24p & 720 30p. Thanks to all the shooters that continue to
provide fantastic footage!

Music is from Alan Morse Davies - Night Falls Fast 1
Check out his site as well:

Some good stuff on there. My favorite shot was the overcrank dusk shot of the boy running into the water.

I hope when I finish my feature this summer I can contribute some footage to your site.

How is business coming along? Are you guys getting much traffic? Many buys?

Thanks, I actually shot that footage of the boy.
Getting lots of great leads. I always get into a business
that is very competitive.
Customers are looking for shots we don't have yet!
So if you have great, unique and interesting footage
give us a chance to represent you!

I like the shot selection. I think that the music is good. It's the type of demo that gives people a chance to look at shots. It's the type of demo that may sell shots if the client looking at it sees something they want. Nice work.

You may also want to create another demo that is more of a flashy overview of what the site has to offer.

I would pick canned music that is fast paced that has a real orchestra feel. I would pick something that sounds like it could come from a movie soundtrack. It may also be nice if this music had a few different parts to it (stay away from music that is repetitive).

I would make it movie trailer length (under 3 minutes) so you don't bore MTV generation clients.

I would include fast cut clips showcasing the huge variety of subjects that you have to offer on your site (timelapse, people, objects, animations, city, country, etc...).

This video should sell motionzoneHD by saying look at the variety of high quality footage that we have to offer. It would be the type of video that may spark new ideas for your clients. At the end, they should feel like they want to see more (like when you see a real cool movie trailer and watch it over and over again). I would end the video with your logo animated. This video should make people immediately got to your website for a closer look.

I would do slight color correction to make the clips look their absolute best (improve contrast and bring up the chroma until the images pop off the screen, but don't go overboard). Every editor color corrects footage to their liking, so don't feel like you are tricking people by doing minor color correction.

It might also be nice to mix in nat sound once in a while or SFX to make the images carry more weight.

This would be more of a flashy commercial for MotionZoneHD that makes your company look huge.

Avoid tons of dissolves and shots longer than 3 seconds.

I am not criticizing your work, I'm just offering another idea. Good luck!

Hello Jason,
I 110% agree with that. I am getting in some footage like you are talking about. I could make dozens of different versions. The #1 priority is getting the word out and then adding to the collections!
Thanks'
