My new HD Video Blog. San Francisco.

Hey guys I just finished encoding my new blog that I created while at a conference in San Francisco. It has a lot of shots from around the city and my peers. Also is some of the speakers overlapping the visuals.

I’m looking for criticism that I can improve upon. I need really intelligent criticism. Most my friends are not film people and just kiss my ass and say its GREAT! I don’t really need that. Please leave your thoughts. On my site be even better than here. Thanks for watching I think you will enjoy it.

It has a very cool film look to it. Did you use the M2? What lenses? What did you do on color correction?

I didn't use the M2 on this becuase I jsut got it when I headed out to san fran and it was bulky and I couldn't travel with it. this was solely me and the Sony Z1U.

I loved the work.....You have a great talent. I was very impressed with your camerawork and CC. The Z1 looks fantastic. Did you use Cineframe or Magic Bullet?

Marijuana and good film can save the world.

I used the cinaframe on camera when there was enough light for it.

DAMN Kyle... that was really good. Really. Was that audio from the conference supposed to pan like that? Those shots look so nice... I always experimented with DEsaturating in PPro but taht little bit of increase looks great.

2 thumbs up. Nice edit too, can't forget that.

It's similar to going from 60i to 30p or 24p (or F) on the DVX or XL H1, etc. In 60i, more light is let in because of the interlacing of two fields per second, I believe. When going progressive, full frame, or CineFrame, the light does seem to dim a bit. I think part of it is frame rates (going from 60i to 50i appears to "darken the video") and interlacing.

I'm going off what I've seen and some general knowledge. I'll double check!
