Spending the summer evening outside (grabs)

I think my DVX still has the mojo! :cheesy: Uprezzed them to 1024x because I just think it brings out a tad more detail.

I really love these summer evenings, and color correcting them is even more fun! :)

Uprezzed in Vegas 6.0D, it always turns out nice and sharp compared to some other programs... Although these uprez programs might be better though.

Well... I just always set the project settings to 1024x576 :)

Works nicely as uprez.

edit: wrong resolution...

Scene settings variet between

Low gamma, low master ped, low chroma and all that. Very desaturated looking raw footage.

Some of the other footage has maxed out croma and stuff to make it as saturated as possible, also cinegamma.

But scene files doesn't matter all that much, I color corrected them all pretty much.

Great shots though LOL.

What was your pixel aspect ratio?

and your regular aspect ratio?

Fooling around in vegas, wanted to make sure I got this right

1024 x 576
Pixel Aspection ratio was 1.000 Squared.
Aspect was 16:9

Thinking of a DVX100 myself. Looking at the HVX200 for $3,000 more. The DVX100 looks good, and the instant HD software from Pansonic might be a nice freebee. These look nice. I ran a 720P last month HD10. It was a little sharper, but the colors here are better. Though the JVC was nice for a 1 chip. Did you shoot 16:9 or do that in post? Or with a lens adapter? The Sony HDV i've looked at din't look much sharper, and it was interlaced with long GOP's. I think the DVX100 still has a good lifespan if you can't afford the HVX200. Or at least that's what I"m ready to drop $3,200 on.
