Im as happy as. Just got me HVX202EN today from videoguys.com.au


one thing I havent seen around here is someone documenting the opening of a HVX from the box, I have.... check it out :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)


Havent used it yet as i just finnished work, uploaded these picks as i wait for her battries to charge........Cant wait to start her up

Congrats on the camera. I hope to get one eventually but they will probably have the next gen or two out before I get around to it. Hehehe.

What is a HVX202EN? Is that an updated model over the HVX200?
 
the HVX202EN is the Australian model, its just a HVX200 pal camera but its ment to be for warranty claims...... Its got me why they called it something diffrent.
 
Funny, I did the same thing when my HVX came in :)
Then I had to do the whole thing of shooting pics of the HVX next to my PD150 which it replaced. Kind of a changing of the guard. :)
 
Actually, you've done a great service documenting how it all looked in the box. When I sold my XL1, I never could figure out how all the pieces were supposed to fit in the box. Thanks.
 
I've another question for the osie, I'm planing to buy that exiting tool too. Did you hear about globalmediapro.com? I know that company is in new zealand, and they have a shop somewhere in Australia. Their prices seems atracting. Anyway enjoy your hvx mate.
 
good to see someone in aus finally saying they got one....videoguys seems to be the only decent place to get the hvx from in OZ
 
If you use videoguys and pay with cash push for a good price. i got mh HVX202EN PAL camera ( without the P2 card ) for $8250.00 AUD.

Yeah i have a buddy who bought from globalmedia.com there great and you can by internatinal warranty with it but what they dont tell you is that sales tax that your country hits you whne the camera comes in.
 
How much are the taxes in Australia? 10%? It sounds like I'm going to buy one next time I'll go there with my girl friend from Sydney. Your country is so amazing mate!!
Ps: A shame the soccer root didn't get qualify against the Italian team.

Our taxes are GST ( goods and servises tax ) its 10% and suck bigtime.

Australias awsome and hopefully i'll get some nice stock footage in HD for my website for anyone wanting doco stuff from OZ.

err, that would be SoccerRoos...... soccer root would be something different down here......

re: the Aussie tax system - 10% on pretty much everything and if you are a registered business you claim that back i.e - no tax ....... and if you are from overseas you claim it back when you leave the country....... doesn't suck to me....

Pardon me! I am totally new to this and this is my first post......

I do have HVX202 (bought from Lemac) and have just completed a 3 day TVC shoot. Steep learning curve for a bloke that hasn't had a lot to do with 'small form'/DV style cameras. Absolutely stunning pictures! Whizzed through a brand spanking new Adrenaline and output at SD...... beautiful......

A FCP project is next and am looking forward to that.....

Downside? The P2 Store needs a major makeover.......

Hi guys theres been some confusion of the price I gave ( message above ) on an earlier posting. im getting a few emails via my website in ref to the price I gave here and the price diffrence on the videoguys website.

The $8250 AUD was before any Ex tax price was addedd or shipping and handling fees.
I gave this price as a bare amount.
Obviously if you want a price contact VIDEOGUYS on there website www.videoguys.com.au ..... All there prices are listed for all to see along with P2 cards and HD 100 firestore.

Im actualy saving up for a HD firestore at the moment which I will hopefully have before christmas :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
