Hi,

When capturing from the HVX +M2 to a macbook in FCP (or another program in OS X or Bootcamp XP) is there any way to flip the image displayed while capturing.

This would make the make the Macbook a handy monitor as well.

This program will need to handle DVCPRO HD at full ressolution.

Cheers for any help on this,

Adam

Hi Adam,

On the Win XP side I believe DV Rack will do this when they release their DVCPRO HD compatible version:

On the Mac side there is a viewer being developed which will have this flip function, but I'm not sure it has capture ability, perhaps just monitoring:

Lastly Red Rock themselves are developing a Mac and PC app for monitoring which will have the flip function, but unfortunately there is no mention of DVCPRO HD support in the initial version:

FCP does not have the ability to do this currently, although I'm sure it would not be difficult for Apple to add it if they wanted to. We're not quite there yet, but there are a number of options coming.
