I put this up on dvinfo, but I'd like to hear from you guys, what soundtracks did you guys enjoy most or stuck with you?

Totally agree on Pirates, love that theme song!

I liked the Man on Fire and Domino tracks, too.

Vengelis -BLADE RUNNER or PETER GABRIEL doing "The Last Temptation of Christ"...if you haven't heard TLTOC, you should check it ou.

The Thin Red Line is beautiful, and Pearl Harbor is actually quite good compared to the crap movie.

Gladiator and Black Hawk Down is great too, damn I love Zimmer's work. :cheesy:

For those that don't have it, XM Satellite Radio has a station called "Cinemagic"...it plays movie soundtracks and in between pieces of music for a particular movie will play a short clip of dialog from that movie.

They also have special shows throughout the week, one that plays all source music from a film (the music heard within a film that is not part of the soundtrack) and another called Reel Time where they interview various people (Producer, Director, Composer, etc) from current release films.

It's a great way to hear scores from movies, old and new, and see what you like and what composers you like, etc, etc.

Oh man, where do I begin?

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Revenge of the Sith
Superman: The Movie
Superman Returns (love what Ottman's done with Williams' themes)
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (and from the little bit I've heard, Dead Man's Chest will shortly be added to this list)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
The Chronicles of Narnia:The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Moulin Rouge
Unbreakable
The Natural
The Mission (Williams' score for a Spielberg-directed episode of Amazing Stories)
Batman

I could go on forever with this...

Excellent additions THX...Everyone of them, when I read them, I said to myself, "Oh yea, that one's good too!"

And Brandon, XM isn't that expensive....just charge it to the production company, as research

John Carpenter's The Thing By Ennio Morricone is the most eerie, sickening, bad joo joo vibing soundtrack. The thing is a horror film and even if the screen was all black the whole time while playing ennio morricone's score of the film i would be totally freaked out.

O' brother where art thou - (even though I'm not a huge fan of folk/country... that soundtrack is incredible.)

Garden State

Crash

Lost in translation
