(hope this is in the right place) - lots of folks have asked about seeing Redrock gear (M2 adapter, microFollowFocus, etc.) - here's some info on that and training:

Redrock will be exhibiting all the latest gear at Cinegear this Friday and Saturday (June 23 and 24th - we will have our own booth and be in JVC's booth). The Redrock booth is number 37.

We will be holding a Redrock post-Cinegear Hospitality Suite and training session on Sunday June 25th. We will show the Redrock products, have setups available to discuss how specific cameras and gear works, and a sesssion on configuring and using your Redrock gear. You can also bring your own setup for fine-tuning suggestions.

We will have refreshments, food, shwag, and a drawing for free gear.

Details:

Redrock Post-Cinegear Hospitality Suite and Training

Training

Hi Brian,

Have you given any more consideration to having a training class in Dallas?

cheers!

Shwag - you know, free stuff you can wear, etc.

jpsheets, yes we have indeed. We are considering several cities, dallas among them. We are starting here in LA to kick things off.

Thanks all

Brian

Thanks, Brian. That's excellent news! Now I just gotta get me one of those Matteboxes you guys are hoarding! :)

thanks,

Hi guys

It is free. A sort of hospitaliy/welcome/check out the gear/ tips on setup, etc.'

Stop by!

We hadn't considered Atlanta (yet?) big stops are LA, NY, and probably somewhere in france and australia (big indie film communities there)

Brian, you really should get yourselves booked into VideoForum at Earls Court in London next year.

I am sure many over here in the UK and Europe will be making the trip to the show and Redrock would benefit massively from taking a booth and doing seminars/demos of your products. It's a very well attended show and I should imagine would be absolutely ideal place to demonstrate and pick up a ton of orders.

Movietube were there this year and their booth was busy, as we are talking very expensive compared to the M2.

Plus it would be nice to meet up with all your customers from over the water!

Email the whole Redrock mailing list with this info.

If you guys come to NYC I'm definitely bringin my M2 to get it tweaked by the pros. I'm still not convinced mine is setup perfectly.

:crybaby:

Hi Brian, yes we could all share a few beers!
Really there's a lot of indies over here who probably don't even know you exists yet. A booth at Videoforum would do your business very well.

Redrock at Video Forum

Redrock at Video Forum

Hi Brian

I agree with Steve, Video Forum is probably the best show in the UK for indies. We have exhibited for the past 3 years with Showreel and attended since it's inception in various capacities. It has evolved over the years from a bit of a tyre-kicking (tire) event into a well focused show - they boast approx 6,000 visitors which seems accurate.

We will be hosting some seminars there. Maybe we can include a panel on "Getting the most out of HDV" or something to include Redrock (would have to be balanced of course). We haven't yet formalised the seminars so this would be a good time for any of you to make suggestions about what subjects would be of most interest.

I can hook you up with right people at VF and /or JVC in the UK if that's useful.

Earls Court isn't exactly LA so its woolie hats rather than baseball caps as there's more chance of frostbite than sunburn I'm afraid.

Cheers

Denise

Its cold in London in February but not cold cold. Temps could be from 2 degrees C to 14 degrees C depending on the weather. We never, or very rarely get bitter -0C in the daytime in the UK.

Be great if yuo could come over and do a seminar similar to what yoou have been doing stateside. I am sure the demand to be in the seminar would be huge.

OK, I exagerated the frostbite thing. But Brian did bear witness to my sunburn at Cinegear (although I was saved from even worse burning by a gift of a Redrock baseball cap, thank you again guys).

We'll be working on seminars for Video Forum after IBC. So again any suggestions will be taken on board. I'll email you later Brian.

For now it's off to the beech for some cocktails.

Cheers

Denise
