Very cool idea and look to the video, I like how you utilized the green screen techniques. I especially like the women- where did you find some that were so eager to dress so skimpy in front of the cameras?
The song didn't fly with me though- sorry. I think you should have mixed up the idea as well and not stayed on the same "theme" for so long.
I hate to be the first to say anything in the neighborhood of negative, but I know that I personally like a little constructive criticisim.. That in mind..
I wasnt really digging the overlays of the images, fading in one on another ect.. and I dont think it was so much that there were two images at once, but rather their positions on screen. To much wasted space. I would have liked it better if the artist was on one side, and the girls on the other ect. Just avoid the dead space, and since it is greenscreen stuff it is easy to move the image pretty much wherever you want it. You can even key it in final cut to gradually move as if it is a camera pan (example: The artist starts center of the screen and slowly moves to the right as if the camera is panning, then the girl dissolves in on the left) Just a suggestion, nice work though really.

i think the glow effect is pretty cool but only if it's thrown in here and there. i got tired of it. dv compression and greenscreen don't mix well usually. i'm curious if you originally had using different backgrounds in mind but then in post realized that it wouldn't work. the ultra wide aspect i thought was distracting as well. it felt cropped rather than panoramic, i think because of the minimal content. besides the techy stuff, it just didn't work for me. i saw many many awkward moments that should have been cut out during the performance and with the girls. there is a part about 2/3 thru where there is a blond girl sitting next to the artist while he's performing. she has a look of boredom that turns into a worried look. in general, the girls always seem to be looking at someone off camera and laughing. seemed like a bunch of outtakes. that may have been what you were going for but it was weird to me. i understand the relevance of showing the camera and the set as it has been a little trend happening lately in videos, but usually it shows off an elaborate set and a huge crew, lights, etc. this would look to anyone who doesn't know it's a dvx like some guy with a small camcorder. as far as the editing goes, technically, everything is cut clean and in time with the music. i think the cuts should be faster. but the real point i think is this. i think the editor should be the one to pull it all together. i don't know if you shot or directed this or if it was just handed to you to edit like that 30k HD video was. i think the awkward moments should have been cut and replaced. you can always find other things to cut to even if you are short on footage. for instance, take a girl shot that you used near the beginning and use it again near the end, but slo mo it. makes it a new shot. or cut quickly between 3 or 4 girl shots and it turns into a new clip even if some of that footage has been used elsewhere. i think you got the formula right (if you did direct it) hot chicks wrapped around a performance. allthough very simple, if done right could be great. i just think the performance and the direction of the girls was lacking and it wasn't fixed in the edit.
