Impressive. It's sort of like the old illusion of the negative image of the US flag, in which you stare at the orange, green, and black flag for 45 seconds, then look away. Because the cone signals for orange and green have been depleted by staring so long, the red and blue have a relative surplus, so the after image looks red, white, and blue. However, this demonstration is much more emphatic -- to the point I thought at first it was just a java trick and a color image had been substituted. Very neat.
