Horror Comedies like Evil Dead/Dead Alive etc

I don't know if this counts as a horror comedy, but have you guys seen Bubba Ho-Tep?

Really really neat flick.
I would have to say yuck...:thumbdown And I like Bruce Campbell.

How about Beverly Hills Vamp? Eddie Deezen is out of control, and it's his only real lead in a film. A classic the way Joe Bob Briggs likes it using the 3 B's - Breasts, Beasts (if you count Deezen), and Blood.

You can't beat Eddie

I know this "Pornet" character....and he has an unhealthy love of Bubby Ho Tep...
LOL, I'm as big a Bruce Cambell fan as they come, But Bubba Ho Tep seemed lacking to me, I would even say sub par. Certainly not his first however.

John, Return of the living Dead- now that's funny. here are some quotes and scenes that come through my mind:

Zombified boyfriend goes to girlfriend, and, right before eating her brain, says:

"Honey, it's just me!"

A zombie is trying to get out of its grave, but is constantly stepped on by the Zombie "stampede". "Michael Jackson's" Zombie electrified- just too funny.

Actually, I need to see this movie again, to see if it is still as funny as I recall :)

I love Horror movies. Lets see what can I add.
Uzumaki
Suspiria
Evil Dead Trap
It Lives
301/302
Meet The Feebles
Little Otik
Body Parts
Save the Green Planet

To name a few not mentioned.

When did Save The Green Planet become a horror movie?

Don't let the name fool you, it is a Horror COMEDY. Unless you are taliking about a diffrent movie, same title. (Ex. Running Scared nothing like the new one).

Save The Green Planet? The Korean movie? I saw IMDB had it listed as Horror, amongst other things. Geez... It's sci-fi.

Haven't checked IMDB, i thought it was more comedy than horror, though that element was still apparent. definitly could be catagorized in either horror or sci-fi. Movies are just not so black and white anymore; many are cross genre which is good, I can't stand watching the same take on the same type of movies over and over again. Variety leads to originality, not repitition
-Kory.

You're right, or at least I agree with you. I can't really fit anything I write into a certain genre.

Hats off.

As did i.

I felt it was fresh, fun and chock full of that Campbell gravy.

Look forward to the sequel/prequel.

I did too, but honestly, there was just something about it that never quite got off the ground for me. I felt like it was trying to be two different things: 1) A rumination on aging and being left behind, etc. and 2) A whacky monster movie, and the two never really meshed in my opinion.

However, I really liked Campbell's character work, and I thought the writing for both him and Davis was quite amazing.

I've never read the story, anyone know if it's good?
