5 short movies (everything I've done)

Yeah, Revolver looked good. Glad you got such a good response. Really liked the camera work and the location was great.

You taking a break this summer or do you have more shoots lined up? I've been lazy and haven't done much lately. Need to get back into it.

im trying not to take a break, but its hard to get momentum back. we took a break to do "til undeath" but now its back to see if we can get revolver finished in the next couple weeks.

because of schedules and various other compromises, changes to the script had to be made while shooting, with im not thrilled with, and even then we didnt get everything. I've got the actor who plays the Man whenever i want so hopefully i can shoot some more of him and figure out some creative editing to get it back on track, but we'll see.

Not to imply its a lost cause, far from it, it'll still work and tell a story, because of the last days of shooting (weather issues) and now these editing problems, it can't compare to the original vision, but i guess that always happens. One thing i've learned is to never again choose a project that relies almost entirely on the light outside, yikes! going from that the zombie movie was a piece of cake :)

we've got a composer working on score for revolver, so when i've got something cool, i'll send it to you

I hear you on the momentum thing. Once you stop it's hard to get going. I wasn't specifcally referring to Revolver, though. I meant other projects - any other shorts in the making, etc.

The environment can be a *****. Even if you didn't get everything you want, I'm sure it was a good learning experience and the more experience the better.

Revolver is GREAT! - I want to see more.... geez.. nice work.. want to make a dolly for me? I pay ya for it.. nice work..

really looking forward to the western cheesesailor, looks like a lot of work went into it and the shots are all very nice!

I'm planning on doing a couple music videos, but not prepping any new shorts over the summer. I met a few ppl from school that might put something together, which I would love to help with, but prepping and directing my own short is too big a time sink for this summer.

I learned more about how to make a movie on Revolver than any of the other projects. I learned to operate the camera on the Spanish project, I learned to light with the Music Video, I learned to communcate ideas visually with dormez vous, and I learned how little experiece I had with Revolver. All of the problems we had with Revolver imformed me about specific things I needed to do with Til Undeath, and really, Undeath was silly easy, nothing went wrong. We scheduled 5 days but finished around 4 or 5pm everyday and all the make-up took about 1/2 the time we thought it would and I was scared the makeup would look like crap, but I'm really happy with it. So yeah, regardless of how revolver turns out, it was incredibly important to my experience

I have a question, compared to the other short films here, these look super good. Were these done with a DVX or an HVX?
