Jaggies

I've been trying a HVX200 and do seem to get quite a lot of jaggies on straight edges. I want to shoot some in DV mode, and really want to smooth this as much as possible.

Is there a setting that will help with this?

What settings are you using?
Are you shooting @ 60i or progressive?
HD or SD?
More details about your problem would help.

If as I suspect you are shooting 480 60i SD, then you have encountered a major problem with interlace artifacting in the HVX that I have been trying to get Panasonic engineers or sales people to face up to.

Please do respond to the above questions as there are only a few people who seem to run into this on the forums.
I see it on contrasty straight lines (often a hot edge) usually diagonal that is most noticable when the camera is tilting or panning through them.
The only solution to the above is to shoot progressive. You can lower detail but it will get soft.

You should check all your detail settings though. If SD make syure you are not in Thin or Mid detail settings (generally you want "thick" for DV that will go to video not film) and make sure your detail settings are not above 0.

Yes, in 60i, also see a lot of them in 24p.

bill,
It would be helpful if you really went into more detail,
SD or HD - is it same in 24P , detail settings and exactly what you see and where. Without lots more information it could be anything.
