Where do I plug in the battery adapter?

The battery-shaped end of the adapter is plugged into the charger, and the other end is the little black circly plug... where does that circly plug go?

Feel free to make fun of my ridiculously low IQ.
 
I think it's the other way around: the round plug goes into the side of the charger, the "battery-shaped" end snaps into the cam.

I believe it can go either way. There should be a DC jack underneath where the HHVW battery goes.
 
Just don't try charging a battery while powering your camera. I've heard this is a big no-no, and will create a rift in time/space that will cause your camera to disappear in a puff of lime-colored smoke. Good luck!
