Hey, interesting stuff you guys got there. I am just curious, did you use a skateboard wheel on the follow focus set up? What mattebox/rail system did you use? I am very interested on your production setup. Thanks.
 
Prodigy - we used the indiefocus which is a model airplane wheel for follow focus - it works very well for its design - we begged and pleaded with red rock for a pre release version of their follow focus but it just wasnt ready.

We used red rock rails (I had them for our M2 already) and the cavision mattebox. Tripod head was cartoni focus.

I am currently writing up a DP journal that will be up on our site explaining all the things about our project. That will give you lots more detail.

It is a very large project - over 20 principal actors and over 30 principal locations

as for CC - there is no CC in this trailer - there is just some minor brightening. Everything was camptured with the camera
 
we did not use the M2 - while I would have liked to there were a number of reasons we made this decision.

- working all on location in very tight spots the extra 6-10 inches would have made some shots impossible.
- the resolving power of it was not fully tested in HD at that point - we intend a filmout so we need to make sure we have as much information as possible,
- an incredibly compressed timeframe would have been put in jeopardy - the M2, while amazing, adds a little bit of extra time to every shot.

I am not knocking the M2 - its a great product for sure. - just not right for our project
 
Thanks! I will be sure to go to the project website and read the soon coming, DP journal material. I was searching through all of your production stills trying to see your camera and lighting setups... I am a geek like that. Thanks and please post more footage! :)
 
This looks like a really entertaining movie. I'd love to see it. Acting looks good, lighting looks good etc. etc.

Great job.
 
Wow, it looks like a cast of thousands and I've never seen so many bathrooms. :)

Lot's of great images, I would have liked to have heard a little more dialogue though.
