Ghost Rider Trailer has arrived.....

it is a kind of FX film. I do not think it was so hard to set up the fire FX, rather than long.

I picked up the comic when I was a wee tad. The story is cool, but I doubt Hollywood will get it right.
The problem is, you can bend several super hero stories and not loose the meaning. If "Ghost Rider" is bent too far in either direction, it will either seem too kiddy or too evil for a PG-13. I think an R rated Ghost Rider would work, but a PG-13 rating?

I kind of get the feeling that "Ghost Rider" reserves the right to say "f%#k".

agreed and his head looks awful like a beach ball the need a new texture guy on his head.

When the cheesy bony fingers zipped up his leather jacket i uttered a loud UGGH in the theater. The crowd reaction led me to believe most people felt the same way.

I could live with effects as long as the story is messed up. I've grown used to effects of all types and try not to let them make or break a movie for me. There are some that are just plain crap, but if they are close enough to the mark, I let them slide. My big movie watching started in the 80's and all of the experiment effects there in. Good (not great) effects, even if they aren't on par with LOTR or stuff like that, can still make the grade.

lets not forget LOTR had crappy CGI as well I mean the photoshopped ghost running through people was probli the biggest cop out and I would have not let it win anything due to that. after seening composition suck and the king kong, kong. If i see anyhting lower than that I think they arent trying.

Hater

There is another factor at play here... Ghost Rider is being done on what
amounts to a shoestring budget for a 'big hollywood fx' movie. The budget
is on par with Spawn... not Spiderman :)

Pretty much... he and the rest of the cast took HUGE pay cuts to do it... it was
never gonna get done otherwise.

i would have to see it before i could be dissapointed and since there is little to no chance of me making it to the theatre for this one, i do not think i would be able to be dissapointed.

Not a big fan of Cage in action roles. Add to that the trailer just seemed...cheesey. Like he was trying way to hard to be cool.

You're a freaking undead harley-riding flaming skeleton! You don't need catchy dialogue.

But ya, it's tough to make lines like that work.
