Ghost Rider Trailer has arrived.....

I think it's a tough concept to pull off. Cage is great, but I'm not sure how effective he'll be with a cgi double in half the film. The CG looks obviously CG. I'm not buying it just from the trailer.

I've never been a fan of the comic, but the trailer looks pretty cool. I'll probably check it out if for nothing else than a popcorn flick.

Not feeling it. I don't know this comic - but the CG flaming skull on Cage's body looks cheesy.

Ditto...
There's just no way you can make lines like these work -

"I'm the only one who can ride in both worlds...I'm Ghost Rider!"

Ouch!

Yeah. I watched it once and just looked at the flaming skull and thought it was gonna be ****. and then iwatched it later the next night at X Men and I thought everything except Ghost Rider looked bitchin.

I must be seeing a different trailer than yuz, cause I didn't think the effects looked bad or cheesy at all...

I know absolutely nothing about this cat Ghost Rider (what few comics I got into as a boyo were more of the D.C. persuasion)...but damn! But from what I'm seeing, this looks really really good to me.

He was a mediocre character from what i remember. Although i thnk that has alot to do with the string of crappy writers who were attached to that series.

Always had the most bitching covers though.

I fall into the camp that thinks the CGI looks cheap.

I also can't stand they added a love interest angle. Just once i'd like to see someone make a flick like this without adding that tired plot device.

But Cage will probably deliver.

I agree, the FX look pretty sweet. Ghost Rider with the skull, although correct, is a little comical (hard one to pull off). This one will be another piece action-adventure eye candy.

agreed...

At first, I was like, this looks dumb... Then, the music shifted gear and I started to gain more interest... Then, when he makes the transition of a skull.. that's when I was a lil' iffy about the movie.

I'm wondering if they are still working on the Effects. In Narnia, some of their FX shots looked dumb and unfinished.. then, when I saw the movie, they cleaned them up. (cept for a few of the 'river' fx shots)

Cage.. eh. He's still the main dude from Raising Arizona to me. :)

Nick is the driving force behind getting the film made... he's even
got a Ghost Rider tattoo :)

That's no excuse just to make the movie because he's a big fan though. Perhaps if the movie itself was coming out of his own pocket book. yes. Perhaps.

Wait.. wasn't Nick Cage supposed to play Superman too? orr.. some other superhero? Or was that just a marketing ploy to down hype him when they revealed he was the "ghost rider"? :)
