PAL or NTSC switchable?

Hello everyone,

I am about to buy a HVX200 and I came accross a page where they had stated the following:

Recording system: NTSC / PAL

Is there a difference at the moment between the NTSC and PAL HVX200?
Someone said you can switch between the formats. Is this true for this camera? I never heard of another camera which could do that.

How is it with the FireStore? Are they programmed / fabricated for Pal or NTSC camera's? Or are they inter-usable for both formats?

I'm looking forward to your replies.

PS: even if you can witch between them, is there still a difference between the camera's in the UK and USA?

Ow, and I noticed there are some jokers on this forum. Just that you know, I am aware that if you buy 2 camera's, one PAL and one NTSC you can switch between the recording format too.

No

There's a few that can do both PAL and NTSC, look at some of the SONYs for that feature. Panasonic will get there too eventually. They'll start with the HDX900....

Not good. But that has more to do with the FireStore not being very good. look for the upcoming CINEPORTER.
 
So what are the real downfalls of the new Firestore?

So far I only read it doesn't record 720 at 24p
