Frame Still of Children from HVX Shoot for City of Portland, OR

Here are some frame stills from a production I am working on for the City of Portland.
The production is a PSA for the Vision Committee, highlighting children's vision for the future of their city.
Shot in studio location, black backdrop, shooting with my HVX mounted on a porta-jib traveler.

Just shot it over last weekend, have almost finished a rough cut, thought I would just share some of the stills.

Finally got them to work! Appreciate any feedback!

and oh yes, shot on 720/24pn, Cinema D setting. Brought the master-ped down to crush the blacks a little.
Loved th p2 workflow, actually started looking forward to taking the 5-minute break to transfer the P2 footage to my firewire drive, as it served as a great break and refresher for cast and crew, and a chance to re-group. Like shooting with film. P2 workflow was like poetry in moiton!

Make it a little easier for everyone to view.

Yes footage and info please. I"m planning to shoot something up against black.. info on lighting set ups are cool too.. Thanks

I can't yet release the footage as I am still in the editing phase. I am actually leaving to film a documentary in Brazil, so I won't have an edited version for a couple of months.

We had a crazy/wacky lighting setup!
Here goes:

- 4k Arri Zip for my key, but using only 2k of the light, pushing through a home-made Softbox for my key, Basically a four sided 4X6 customized boxed, mounted in front of the 4k with Muslim/Silk halfway inside.

-Since I didn't have a 650w Fresnel or even a 300W Fresnel for Backlight, I used my Colortran 2k Baby as the backlight/kicker on a dimmer, then used 1/2 CTB to color-correct the dimmer (dimmers change the color temp, adding a lot of warmth to the light)
Think it was the first time I ever used a 2k as a kicker!

-Used a 1K Arri Open face on another dimmer with 1/4 CTB with a homemade Black wrap snoot for hair light
-Used a 200w Pepper as an eyelight, with black wrap snoot.
-Used an Anton Bauer On-camera light, but instead put it on a Light stand with battery for added fill, that way I could adjust the height level of the light, and bounced the Anton Bauer light off of foamcore for fill. That way my foamcoare served as a bounce fill for both of my 4k key and the Anton Bauer light.

Sound crazy?

Sorry, I'm somewhat new to what images from the HVX looks like. And I'm looking into this camera. So please forgive me if this is off topic. What image resolution were these taken in? My guess is the 720p setting. If this is so, why do they look blocky? By blocky I mean there is some serious stair-stepping that can be seen along contrasty edges. Is this an artifact of some post-HVX processing, or is this actually what the output of the HVX looks like? The images (while very nicely shot) look like they were up-rezed from a lower resolution.

Again, sorry to take this off topic somewhat, but I would appreciate it if someone could help me understand what I'm looking at.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing more than highly compressed jpeg files! No worries my man, the HVX footage looks absolutely gorgeous. The fall-off of light can be breathtaking on this camera. If you expose correctly. My clients have been stunned. It's like having the quality of shooting film on any budget!
