Just heard from Barak Epstein at Videotex in Dallas (authorized dealer, of course). As of this AM (6/7) they had 12 HVX in stock. Note I don't work for them or derive any benefit other than satisfaction that those in search of an HVX might find one from a reputable dealer. You can call Barak at 972-231-9200 x121

I will have to check their price.
I just noticed that B&H lowered their price to $5499 but of course they are out of stock at the moment.

Cheers,

I bought my HVX, FS100 and matte box/rods setup from Barak. He was great on keeping me up to date as to shipping dates etc and very knowledgeable, especially about editing solutions. Great place.

Ya the best thing about Videotex is they are flexible on pricing, (sort of)
I was on AVS's waiting list a while back and I found out videotex had them in stock
so drove there immediately and made them match my AVS price.
I bought an HVX with 1x4GB card
