i would really like to know the setup you used to film that dancing footage.

i.e. which model of the adapter?

Macro or CO?

what lens mount and lens, and f stop

The Hoya Macro's what are they? +2 +4 +10 ?

Wow that video was really well done... I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it... excellent work. I'm thinking I want you to copy that same PM to me.

That footage looked fantastic... in STL we have a grafitti wall down by the arch... I don't know if it's legal to paint it up any time or just on certain days, but it's about a quarter mile of incredible art... I'd like to find somebody like your friend and test out an adapter along that wall.

Really really good work. You should be able to finish near the top of the fests.
 
Thank you for the comment MattinSTL, I also forgot to mention, that no lights were used, only what the location had to offer.
 
I'm just new to this (and in the middle of my high school exam :p )
But I am so excited about building me one when I'm reading all this.
I was watching the footage and believe me, when you watch
 
* this the first time you just can't believe it's made with a regular camcorder. But I'm a bit messed up when you are talking about the GG's and stuff. Can't you give me a list of things to buy? Like which achromatic lens? Which ground glass? And where to find a Nikon Mount?

Or isn't it in a certain way cheaper to buy an Sgpro?
Altough I'm not so handy.

Anybody from Belgium who ever made something like this?

"regular camcorder" - the DVX is certianly no "regular camcorder" :) careful how you speak of it around here (the website name is DVXuser for goodness sakes)
 
It really isn't a regular camcorder at all! I ment my own camcorder, a 1CCD sony. I'm still saving money for my own panasonic. So meanwhile I'm searching for building a 35mm adapter.

If it records images on to a tape, then I would classify it as a regular camera. What sony model do you have?

It's just a difficult dicission to choose which achromatic lens, because I really want an adapter for life! So I can switch camcorder and still use the same lenses.

You're talking about a Nikon D ground glass?
But where can I find one? And what about a Nikon mount? Isn't there just a mount on which every Nikorr lens fits?

First off I love the ifilm adapter has a durable feel and proffessional look. As far as the hard ware its self goes I am really enjoying it. I have only run into two issues one may be user as I am still learning which lens to use in which situation by sight alone.
I am having trouble getting a perfect focus at times. I am investing in an external as I believe that may attribute to the issue. Other then that I am having a large issue with white particularly when its thin (IE letter form) I am getting a blue halo. Also having that slight issue on folks wearing grey shirt. Is there anything I can do to delete this?

Did you get the instruction sheet with it?

Part of this is a new one for me. Did you use anything besides tissue paper to clean the glass? I've had a few with the blue halo problem before, and it was that they used some sort of solution to clean it (on the glass or the still lens, big no no), or the oils off of their finger touch the glass and left a smear. What I recommend is to use less then a drop of water and a tissue paper to rub it off, but make sure you blow on the glass before you touch it with anything.

If not the adapters glass, check your cameras glass (sometimes this was the issue).


Are you using a 72mm or any UV filter at all?

Same issue with "ash grey"=blue halo. The lens is the Nikon AIS 50mm that came with the adapter. I planned to do a thorough cleaning today anyways. I am using it with the 100A. I did get the instruction sheet its always at 08 when the lens and adapter is on. Without the lens adapter I can get a crystal clear focus. If you'd like PM me the instructions and I will ensure I am doing everything properly.
