$300 seems fair to me. they're DVDs. having been "previously owned" doesn't exactly affect their performance. personally, i'd pay $1000 for the content on this set -- doesn't mean i wouldn't seek out the best price i could find. if i didn't already own these, i'd much rather pay $300 and have some fingerprints on the case, than pay $400+ to get some shrink-wrap. i'm sure they retain their resale value quite well.
