Deleting Clips from P2 Cards

Hi,
Please forgive my ignorance, for this is my first time shooting with this camera. For some reason, I cannot delete my clips from the P2 Card. I have tried going to the menu (operations > delete) but it does not let me select it. Does anybody have any advice as to what we can do to get rid of these clips so I can continue shooting?

sounds like your not selecting the clip. When you select the thumnail it is yellow and you can play it, you must then select the clip by using the stop button. it will turn from yellow to blue. You then can delete that clip.
