mini DV head cleaner okay to use in DVCAM deck?

Hi. I have a Sony DSR-30 deck, which is a DVCAM deck. I've had problems viewing tapes in it recently, so I figured I needed to clean the heads on the deck.

I went to my local equipment supply/rental place, and they gave me a Sony brand mini DV head cleaning tape. Does anyone know whether using a mini DV head cleaner in a DVCAM deck will cause problems?

(I've noticed that there is a Sony DVCAM head cleaning tape, and there must be some reason for having the two different types -- but maybe it's not a GOOD reason... Does anybody know?)
 
Thanks, dcdirector. I hear what you're saying, but I needed to do something quick, and it was "only" my deck, and not a camera I was trying to clean. I would not use a cleaning tape on my camera. And I hope not to use a cleaning tape on the deck again for a long, long while. Since my last post, I've acquired a cheap camcorder that I'll use for capturing footage that comes from other people's cameras; I finally realized what I'd been doing to my deck all along and felt bad for it... Love your signature/quote thing.
