"Balloons" short film

Loved it. Wasn't sure what I was getting into at first, but it quickly grabbed my attention and I really enjoyed it.

Audio was EXCELLENT. Had the whole "foreign film" feel to it (probably cause it was)...

What was used for the moving shots? looks like steadicam to me... or possibly even handheld there at the end.

Sorry to say that I have no idea why its freezing. The encoding was done with divx 5.0, maybe is that. You can download a free player at www.divx.com

Thanks for the good comments. The camera movements were done with a little portable jib, specially inside the library scene. The location at the hospital was too small to use it, so I sat down on a wheelchair with the camera while my partner was pushing ... very guerilla style.
Soundtrack was all done in post, incorporating individual FX from balloons that we got after we finished recording the actors in the library. I used two microphones, a directional sennheiser relatively close to the source, while a condenser cardioid was a bit farther away to catch the environment and reverb. All the rest, is foley; mixed and mastered in protools 6.1

Smoothing was used in the park scene togeter with a bit of oversaturation. The edited master was rendered out from FCP to After Effects. There I duplicated the track of the whole park scene, blurred it, gave it saturation and then changed that layer to a different "color blending mode". Think I used Overlay. Then it was a matter of adding some contrast and lightness to the overlayed layer so the white parts will become more smooth while keeping enough details in the blacks.
Finally, I broke the scene into individual shots and made little tweeks here and there in parts in which the effect was a a bit much or a bit too subtle, while trying to keep consistency.

I updated my divx and I still get the big q with a ? in it.
If it was a divx file would it not be an avi file not qt?

I posted the video in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB6AWOx-UMM
BUT, at least in my mac the soundtrack is really screwed up, like is playing twice the speed it should. Maybe its not the same in other computers... that annoying cause "sound is half of the picture" right? Besides I dedicated a pile of hours to the sounds... :(
