Alex DePew said:I think your fight choreography looks very good. I would show some of the bts of the choregraphy and then how the footage came out. This is more heavily geared to the choreography end. I would also tighten it up a bit. The into could be significantly shorter. And I think the shots should be shorter and linked together without much in between time to get more impact. But it looks like you do some seriously good work. I just finished a short which I directed and choreographed. I had to sub in for a fight scene myself when an actor with martial arts skills bailed on me on the second of a two weekend shoot. I had to shoot everything I planned for a 4 day shoot in 2 days. Not the ideal but thank God I was able to pull it off.
SilverWolf said:I would change the music in it. I'm a martial artist my self and all the fighting was great but the music becomes very boring and doesn't keep with with the excellent fighting.
Is it possible that I can get a copy of your demo reel so I can play around a little with the music ?
R.L. Scott said:thanks for the kind words bro, my business partner made the music for it, so I promised to use it, but that would be cool. I'm also working on a live action short based on Devil May Cry right now and shooting with the dvx100bp. it's got wirework and cg effects in it. filming's going well and i should be airing a trailer soon.
SilverWolf said:Is your business partner a music producer ? The music really has a lot to do with how your trailer feels. I think when the fighting hits it should feel so action packed you wanna jump out of your seat then when you come in to explain some stuff it switches up.
Oh also I would make the beginning shorter or at least make the pictures switch because I think it holds on you too long
