Professional viewfinder to use with M2/HVX

Is anyone familiar with the austrian technician who install/modifies a Sony professional VF to go with the HVX and M2 lens adapter so it resolves the flipped image and also gets you a good, hi res, nice looking VF. Also he has few extras (battery, shoulder pad) one can add. I really like the idea but I am curious if anyone else has any opinions. Plus wiring money overseas get s scary sometimes.
Here the link

Thanks for any input,

heh, pretty funny.

gorgeous stuff on the first demo slide, pretty good for your dog in your back yard ;)

I have never liked viewfinders, it's a matter of preference (I find I don't pay as much attention to the frame edges, and miss the best framing) - but the idea certainly sounds good.

I'd be VERY surprised if this was a scammers - this person looks like a total nerd who has their own rig and figured out a way to fix the flip problem for their own purposes.

Poke and prod a little, ask to pay by credit card.

Problem is that with using the composite out, you are nowhere near HD resolution as far as using this setup with the HVX.

Very nice for an SD camera but a waste of money and effort for the HVX. Probably works better than the stock VF but not by a lot?

Maybe I missed something on the web site, but it doesn't look like he claims to use it with the HVX. All of the pictures have a sony camera in them- I think it is the PD-150?- anyway- using the composite out will not give you the res you need to focus ....

Yeah, you'd be hitting the focus assist button all the time.

I like the way it turns it into an ergonomically good camera like the HD100, but I think my money would be better spent on a Marshall 7" (mounted upside down) that a focus puller could also view.
