FEATHERS - The movie

There are in fact geese. Your very correct. But there were ducks as well... But thank you captain observant pants! lol =) No, seriously, I appreciate the nice comment.... Again, though, does anyone know how to fix my compression woes?

Looks great I did something like this recently when I got the DVX, for practice. Oh they are 'geese." Lol.
Yeah I did the same thing too. I did not want to post it after I saw the trailer of BROKEN.

Mason Williams did the original version of Classical Gas......this sounds like a remake. But.....let's talk about the music. Music plays a huge role in a film, it influences the viewers experience. This song just doesn't fit the subject of the film. I think if you selected something more soothing and fitting of nature, the film would play out better.

It is a remake..... Sorry for the confusion... And I like the music... I'm fine with the music. I appreciate the constructive criticism of course... What I'm not fine with is the compression... Again, any thoughts?

I didn't think the compression was all that bad. You're going to have a problem with compression as long as you use services like putfile, stickypod, youtube, myspace and all that. As for the film, overall I found it boring. One can only watch water fowl folies for so long. I know you didn't do this for entertainment value though. Just playing with the DVX, I'm assuming. Wait a minute ... you're a fowlaphile, aren't you? Hiding in the bushes and filming ducks and geese without their permission or awareness, your one hand tightly gripping the ... camera body while the other twists and tweaks the ... focus ring. How dare you! jk. You're not ... right?

Anyway, I thought the music fit nicely--in a Sesame Street ... "look, ducks and geese" sort of way. You just need a VO with some kid commenting on the movements of the ducks and geese.

Maybe it doesn't sound like it, but I thought this was cool. It's nice nature footage with a pleasant musical backdrop. Just for me, I couldn't watch it for long without getting bored. Maybe some shots of people throwing bread to the ducks or shooting at them or something?
