Music Video Intro and Ending, is it too Random???

hey guys i just added an intro and an ending to my video for Brighten that i posted here awhile back.

i need to know if the intro and ending seem too random for the video. we used screen shots from the video and printed them out and put them on a rug and then the camera goes into and out of the pictures for the begining and the end.

im just still debating if its too random for the video...i want the video to be mainly performance and any "story" stuff to be minimal...but i just do not know if what i have goes with it.

anyways, i'll stop rambling heres the links:

Cory-

I really like it. I think it looks great. However, and I'd hate to suggest that you revisit a finished edit, but I think you would need to follow through with that thought throughout the entire video. I mean, its a cool idea, and very visually stimulating. But, is there a way throughout the video to stop the performance action as a still, pull out, reveal a bunch of photos (music still doing its thing of course) then a quick zoom in on another shot, and the action resumes, music never missing a beat? I just think if you made it part of the video, it could be very interesting. Otherwise, to have that effect bookend the video doesnt quite make sense to me.

Thats just my opinion though...

i like the idea and the cc. at the beginning when it goes from that pic to the live band shot, that shot is too long before it kicks in. maybe show a few more pics before the band shot and have the song kick as soon as you go from pic to live video. i would echo the comment about using this effect here and there in the middle as not to make it seem random. also, i would pick something more significant than the drummer (sorry drummers) to end it with. something that drives it home a little better...

can't wait to see the whole thing though.

Even I as a drummer agree with that..... maybe a close-up of the lead vocalist?

When I first read that you put them on a rug I was like oh no. But it actually looked great. Not many people can pull of filming pictures on the floor. Good Job.

reminds me a little of the HP "Picture Book" campaign. I love the effect and agree that it might be cool to have it flow througout the piece.

One inconsistancy that I noticed was the smooth(er) transition from the first picture into the action and then it was a cut from the drummer to the picture on the floor. I believe you only disolved into the first picture, but I would do the same for the last. I'll also echo the idea to carry this at least once more into the middle of the video. Rule of 3's right?

The ending is great, but I'd tweak your beginning, maybe don't have it switch every beat, but every other beat...
