My interest is this (driving down from Santa Rosa):
I am about to buy a HD camera, and it may very well be the HVX. I have been leaning toward others, but seems this will be the choce.
My personal needs for this meeting are to:
1) See and feel the camera and talk to others about it-specifically its focus system (or lack thereof), on a Cartoni Focus tripod
2) What systems to use for editing? Not sure what Firestore/P2 relationship is.
In addition to high level tecnical discussions, it would be nice to introduce the Newbie(s) to the systems and options...
Also, I am not interested in viewing three hours of footage...if viewing is desired, maybe limit total viewing time to whatever number of minutes, and each presenter also for a limited time, say, three minutes..? ( I have been to far too many viewings where the stuff just keeps going on and on and.....) Less is more.
Lastly, I do not want to drive 150 miles for a lighting seminar. I can contribute to that, if desired, however, I feel that this session should be to find out what everyone wants out of this-basically conversation, for me, anyway.
THEN, we can divide into geographical, technical, basic, lighting, post, etc groups, or whatever.
To me, this is best used as a meet and greet..
"If you don't know, learn. If you do, teach"
Thanks, all..... my dos centavos,
Stuart
