I've received a letter from Marc Irwin, Panasonic marketing Europe in Wiesbaden which apologise for the delay in supplying the two items offered. He is saying that customs slowed the importation of those goods, that the situation will be soon solved and that he will ship the goods as soon as possible.
He will banner the website as soon as the bags and batteries are shipping.

i received the same letter, i hope that ibetween the next 14 days the bag and battery will arrive, i finished 4 weeks of production in italy, carrying around the 200 in a 7 kilogram pelican case, which is safe but heaaaavyyy!
I hoped to get the back after 2 weeks, but this didnt work out, lets see what happens now!

by the way, where are you from in good old germany?

Hi hvx, I'm sorry I'm not german, I'm italian (Rome) and i've bought the hvx in Italy. Dont know why i've received the letter from WIesbaden but I'm glad I've received it. Anyway I'm using now a petrol trolley and i'm ok with it but still starving for another battery.
Spartacus, the bag and the battery are a present from Panasonic to the first 700 Euro buyers of the HVX.
I'm actually shooting a spot for a Jaguar vendor. Will post some stills. (Jaguar cars, not animals...)
 
I got letter too. It is the first 2000 purchasers in the UK from what I know. I've been informed directly from Kata that Panasonic won't have them until end June/early July, then Panny will ship so it is going to be at least 6 to 8 weeks before we take delivery.

Would have preferred a free P2 card myself ;)

thats funny, cause we were 4 weeks in rome in april to do a documentary (man, its so hard to carry kilos of cam, tripod and peli-case through a city like that in public transport..!), hope they pay you well in fighting for the Jaguar (car of course..!) let us see something!

p.s. did any pal user crack the framerates down to 2 frames??
 
I would have preferred the promotion to be valid in the Netherlands as well! No participation in European Promotion and no participation in European Songfestival final, so it was a lousy week ;) Luckely we are going to be the World Champions in soccer :)
 
I thought the promotion was for the whole europe. I'm sorry for the netherlands but, yes, the football championship is fair enough in change. Anyway, I didnt know you qualified....
Germanboy, i've tried the 2 framerate thing and it works very easy. Now its a permanent string on my Sd card. But let me tell you, i don't it like timelapse without the streaks. I'm shooting at 350 and it doesnt streak enough. For the timelapse I need I've bought a Canon 30D and the controller (the background of a scene of the jaguar spot should be a timelapsed night, streaked of course). And the money earned are more than gone....
 
I have the same letter from THE European Marketing Manager.
He said he would make contact again in the next two weeks.
That was on the 8.5.2006. However l'm on the road working until the middle of june.

So did the places you bought the cams tell you about this "goody" or did you just surprisingly get the letters?
We just ordered a 2nd Battery and a bag for 270euros... thats why I´m asking...

I got mine from Mitcorp. They told me about the offer. In the box with the camera was a small promotional leaflet, you had to go to a website and register this to get the bag + battery. Originally it was the first 750 to register. Apparently there are 118 left. Clicky here.
