HI EVERYONE. GOT SOME STILLS FROM MY LATEST WORK "OF GENIES AND GOLDFISH" THE MOVIE WAS ENTIRELY SHOT WITH DVX100A AND REGULAR DVX MODEL(OLDER VERSION). THE MOVIE IS ABOUT 25MIN LONG. I CAME UP WITH THE STORY AND ASK MY FRIEND JONATHAN CHAN TO WRITE THE SCREENPLAY, I ALSO DIRECTED AND DID A CAMEO IN THE MOVIE.

THE BUDGET WAS AROUND 600 BUCKS. WE USED HMI LIGHTS FOR THE BARBERSHOP SCENE AND TUNGSTEN FOR THE BASEMENT SCENE. FOR EXTERIOR SHOTS WE USED REFLECTORS AND AVAILABLE LIGHT. WE SHOT IT IN 4 DAYS FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY AND GOT THE BEST NATURAL LIGHT EVER !!!

WE GOT SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE AUDIO WHEN SHOOTING EXTERIORS, IT WAS VERY WINDY.

I'M VERY THANKFUL TO MY DP MISTER ANDY VELASCO WHO DID A TREMENDOUS JOB. HE TREATED THE DVX AS IF IT WAS A FILM CAMERA GIVING IT THE LOOK OF FILM.

FEEDBACK WILL BE APPRECIATED!!

ENJOY!

I don't like that jumpsuit on the field colors.

But lovely stills!
I know, and that's the whole point, I laugh so hard everytime I see Jonny wearing the jump suit. I wanted to give it the DOCTOR ZIZUE(don't know the name exactly) kind of look. Awkward...

thanks for the feedback....

Hi everyone, I'm back with this thread, I've posted this last year but Finally I'm done with the movie's final edit. I'm just waiting for my Notebook to compress the footage so I can put it up online it's going to take a few hours!

Thanks for waiting!!!

Looking forward to seeing the movie, or even clips, as the stills are REALLY good. Actually, superb! I really liked the framing on 1, 5, and 6 (especially the camera position on 6). And the DOF was very filmic on 1 and 5. Of course, your CC gives it that filmic look too. How long have you and the DP been using the DVX?

I do agree with the previous post about the jumpsuit. Perhaps it's intended to be humorous, but the color is hard on the eyes because of all the brownish/yellowish color of the field. Nevertheless, great job.
