Focus pulling rig for the HVX??. What brands work!

In case you don't get any replies... this has been discussed many times recently. You might find worthwhile info by doing an archive search. I've heard everything from Chrosziel to Petroff to others. Take a look.

Hi Haakon, thanks for the reply....

I've seen that picture when it was posted. It's a sweet package. I was just looking more for the traditional gear FP on rails. Don't want to spend an insane amount either, cause I plan on getting either a P2 store or more P2 cards. P2 is so damn addictive.

Pappas.- How I learned to hate tape and love P2.........

If you are in need of a wireless device (for Steadicam use, for instance), I've written up quite a bit of information on the Bartech device in this topic:

It's quite pricey, but after using it I don't want to be on another shoot without it!

Cintech single sided with the dummy side whip config. Combine with Petroff 4x5.65 2-stage w/rod support bracket. You should be out the door for less then the Chrosziel system. And (IMHO) be happier with the function and durability. Hollywood Studio Rentals in Burbank has both of these, and I'm sure would be happy to build the system for you to try it out in their shop. I know they're a Cinetech dealer, and pretty sure they are also for Petroff.

If you call ask for Robert. FWIW, you can drop my name.

I.

I'm using the Chroziel with a 0,8 wheel, a little slow for the huge lens of the hvx but seems it is the only wheel available here (Italy). It will be ok when Redrock will allow me to use my Nikkors (I'm waiting the M2 for more than 6 weeks now) Anyway, the FF is strong and perfect.

The Redrock follow focus looks like an Arri Clone for a fraction of the price. I and those on the reserved list should get ours after the 23rd May, when they send the first lot out.

Ridiculously giveaway priced at under $500. Comes with 3 lens rings of different sizes, plus the opportunity to add as many lens gears as you require, at $150 for three.

I think that the Redrock Follow focus is open to buy to those not on the list from the 1st June, 2006. So don't delay its going to be massive.

No. Just the follow focus and the rings. I was on the reserve list and ordered a week or so ago. The M2 comes with rods in the indie bundle, or my cavision mattebox also came with rods.
