I'm an Apple Certified Aperture Trainer in New Orleans. Should I attend the preimere of Aperture? Sorry, couldn't resist the pun!

South Louisiana HDVX users, contact me!!! I'm doing a review for a national magazine on the "real world use" of this camera and invite ALL feedback from people who are using this on real projects.

Thanks for your support everyone. Keep your eye on us, we're doing quite a few things.

BenB - I'm getting and HVX-200. I've also worked on two independent features that used one down here in NOLA. What's the timeframe for your project?

Can anyone recommend any good books or websites about lenses. I want to gain more technical knowledge when it comes to lenses and what cameras can be used with what lenses.

Hey Unknownparts, what crane is that? Oh, and BTW, I live in Lafayette, good to see some other peeps from around here doing indy stuff. Laterz!

My company based out of Oklahoma is currently in post on a katrina documentary. Our guys (professional extreme weather chasers) went inside katrina as it hit the coast, we has some amazing footage! This doc will not concentrate on the hurricane as much as it will the people of New Orleans and the rebuilding process. Our guy who is editing this show is from New Orleans and has really put his heart into making this a great piece and what ive seen so far its gonna be great. I will try to get a trailer up as soon as possible for everyone to see. All the footage was shot HD and will be running on 165 channels nationwide when it is done.

New Orleans Final Cut Suite Users Group will have it's first meeting in January '07. We'll probably meet at NOCCA, if things work out. PM me if interested.
