Ok dirty minders, it's really "Rated G".

Every weekend, you might as well move here!!!

Another question...has anyone compared the Letus35 Flip to
the Letus35 Flip Enhanced model?

Thanks Everyone,
Adrian

My dad lives there, I'm only 14.

Great footage. Great concept. Great use of shooting the concept of several characters (who are obviously the same) in a unified sequence. But dude, what the heck is up with the soundtrack? Honestly, it's this epic music (most suited for a chase sequence in the old Star Wars trilogy or something) with this intimate, personal timeline. And, for the note, it does NOT make this piece epic in any way. In fact, the music does nothing but distract from the inital (quite visual) story. It's a quick fix to a much greater piece: change the song! Not to sound harsh, but I've seen too often filmmakers using epic or popular songs to somehow enhance their videos. For the future, just don't do it. -Chris

That stupid hosting site sucks! no one pay... i guess it was only up for a couple hours...
Who's got free server space!? :)

patience is a virtue.

a2zproductions - I haven't been home for a couple days, but when I do I'll test the light loss and post the results.

Alright... So I tested the light loss with my Flip Enhanced model and my 50mm 1:1.8 lens
looks like it lost about 2.3 stops, pretty good in my opinion
But then again, If you're going to be using these adapters it's probably going to be in a controlled environment anyway, proper lighting is SO huge in aesthetics.

And here's my Regular low room light test... Finally up on a server that works, thanks to Quyen!

and here's my roomate with some color correction, haha

cory84,
any chance you could upload some uncompressed stuff?

it's hard to tell the letus grain from the quicktime compression artifacts.

thanks.

cory84,
also, is there any chance that the letus wasn't on in the toddCC.mov video?
it seems like there is a lot of static grain.
could just be quicktime though?

Yeah, I can upload uncompressed stuff... what export settings would that be?

On the toddCC.mov the motor was on in fact... but I haven't ever gotten that look before on any of my other shots... batteries could of been low... or maybe the Color Correction made it visible...

on a pc, you should be able to export an .avi at best settings with no compression or resizing. if you're on a mac, it would be .mov rather than .avi

The Low light stuff looks great. Is there any gain added?

I'm still waiting for my Letus35 Flip Enhanced to arrive.
I upgraded and can't wait to see the 50mm 1.4 in low light.
Adrian

Alright... sorry it took a little while, busy busy.

a2z - No gain or anything on the low light stuff.

You asked for uncompressed, you got it. I threw these together from footage i had in New York and when i filmed by buddies band in the studio.

uncompressed files are only a minute each but still huge... i did 2 so you can see outside stuff as well as inside. Absolutely no CC or anything, these are straight off the camera. And look for at the end of the Band video for me zooming back into the 35mm adapter, you can see the mirrors and all, cool if you're a nerd like me. :)

Right click and download the uncompressed ones... there are like 220mb
You'll most likey have to rename these with a ".mov" once they're downloaded.
New York Spring Break (outside)

Beverly in Studio (inside)

And here's the compressed versions, still very clear

Enjoy...
