3 point lighting kit : Opinions?

That's actually the same light kit I am thinking of buying. Of course, you know
you'll need reflectors, gels, dimmer, more lights (because three will never be
enough)... So maybe your budget is what it is now, but there's way too much
other stuff out there to enhance the scene.

you cant light a green screen and tallent and look good with a $500 light kit. you will need at least 2 - 4 light arri kits with cost around $2200.00 each kit,

i was told i'd need a 3 point lighting system minimally to light the subject, and then 2 flo light flo-1400's ($500 each) and 12 kino flo 55c-k5x green screen tubes ($25 each) for the green screen lighting.

There is always a way to make something look good on a budget. I have shot a lot of green screen with 3 point lighting. Just be prepared to do some manual masking of the edges in post. And forget about loose hair. Keep the lines on your subjects harsh.

This is the same kit I'm looking at. BUT, would it be better to havea 7.5 stand for your backlight as is standard for 3 point lighting kits, then this short 4 foot tall one?

I have it and it is a solid setup, anyone saying you need this and you need that is full of it. You are not working on a feature for Paramount for gods sake, Stop with all this I think I know everything there is to know about film making and just make a film. So many people on here think they are going to change the world with there films but half have never made a film that is watchable. if the story is good and you know how to tell the story THAT is what is Important.....

I just bought that kit in the dual power version and I'm really happy with it. A lot of bang for the buck. No they're not arri's but I'm not a ****ing oil baron so my budget fits these lights real well. This kit comes with a small softbox, umberella, barn doors, stands and carry cases. I'm gonna wait till I get my 35mm panny before I pick up the $10,000 worth of Arri's!

the kit looks good do all he lights have focus control im unsure of this , thinking of buying these lights also

peace n luv
