24 Hours of Insanity

In 40 minutes the 2006 NYC Midnight Run starts.

I have a team entered and we will have 24 hours to write, shoot, edit, and score a film. We did this last year and came in 5th place. It was a lot of fun, but I always get nervous right before it starts. It's my job to write the script and I have to finish it tonight (based on a theme we are assigned at midnight), if we are to have anything to shoot in the morning.

Any words of encouragement/warning?

Chris

My only words of advice are....

Just for 24 hours, so he won't be tempted to visit DVXuser. He doesn't need any distractions. Sorry, Chris. It will be tough but you'll thank us later. :)

nice. Hope it came out how you wanted it. Of course, we'll expect to see it on here, I would think, when you've finished.

I'm back and I'm alive, but barely.

I've been up for over 40 hours straight and I'm starting to see things.

As for the film, Everyone was given the same theme at midnight "revenge" and our film "The Riverbank" turned out great. I got an opportunity to work with some amazing people, including our DP, Franco, who me met through DVXUser.

I would love to share the film, but it is 60 mb and I fear my server bandwith couldn't take it.

If you would like to see it, send me a pm and I will shoot you off a link (thanks for the idea Coffee).

He's so tired! He's lost all concept of proper English!

Congrats man, sounds like you had a great experience.

I hope they have a section of the festival devoted to those who didn't get to finish their films in time; at least to show off the films even if they don't get to win (sort of like the dvxuser festivals).

The NYC Midnight Run festival is very well run. All the films that made into the finals screen next Sunday. Those that didn't make the finals (or were finished late) screen this coming Saturday.
