Just following in Coffee's footsteps... :)

I'd like more DVXer's to have a copy of my feature film VIGILANTES before I run out of my initial order.

10.00 to my paypal account: trevor@smithhouseent.com and I'll get it in the mail to you.

Here's the trailer : http://www.smithhouseent.com/Vigilantes trailer.wmv

Obviously this is not a profit venture being that I got a minimum REPLICATION order with Discmakers. The movie is 100 min. shot entirely on the DVX.

Thanks for the support,

SmithHouse

Thanks, Marlene, I've already got your package together... Hey we have the same birthday, NOV. 2nd... How cool is that.

Ah......a fellow Scorpio. And I used to live in Nevada City.......just up the hill from Sac. Hey thanks.....I'm looking forward to your feature. Looks Great!

i watched the trailer... pretty sick. im gunna buy one tomorrow when iget home from school.

Well now that's taking the whole self-distribution pretty seriously. Pretty quickly. :)

My order's on the way.

You guys are awesome, thanks...

I talked to some people at Tower Books and they told me I should NOT go through a distributor. They also told me that they would stock my movie as well... I guess it's all about networking and making contacts, huh...

Thanks for the order, Insanity... I appreciate the message as well... I'm still tryin' to feel my way through this, but I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Unfortunately, Yankee, I wasn't able to pull of any special features. I had a volunteer crew (all friends and family) dropping out left and right. They loved the idea of making a movie, but did not like the hard work and long hours. I was lucky to get it done.

We premeired it at The Crest theatre in Sacramento with 600+ people in attendance, with lots of great feedback, and most of the copies of VIGILANTES got snatched up by them once the DVD's came out. I'm just tryin' to get some in the hands of fellow DVXers before I run out.

I wish I could have done a commentary or bts though because we had some great locations secured public and private without cost, the police blocked off streets and patrolled our shooting locations without permits or insurance, had a UFC and Gladiator fighters show up to film just as a favor, so all that stuff would have been cool to talk about and show... I definetly won't neglect this area in my future projects.
