What editing system did you use?

It looks really professional, to me it looks like an Avid cut this, Or FCP with lots of Motion)
hmm, why would you say an Avid? maybe it was the "skill" of the editor using a tool that made it look professional! :)

everything but the office stuff is top notch.
I dont think you need the office stuff.
it's pretty self-explanatory that the guy in the white shirt and the chick represent regular people that come in and fight to let go of their frustrations, so the office scene is not needed IMO

yeah but without the office scene the woman and man would have no signifigance. They would just be two people beating up on each other and you wouldn't know why they were fighting

THANKS so far!

The management had seen the Escape From Earth video i did, and since i was in Chicago where the band is based out of, they put us together. The treatment was mine.

That was awesome! Great job. I thought that your camera work and editing were incredible. I love that the camera is always moving. And your editing is crisp. Nicely done.

I would agree with the office scene comments. I do like the contrast between very light, sterile world of the office and the dark, gritty world outside. But honestly, when the video first started, I thought it was pretty lame because of the flat look. I actually considered stopping the video because of it. And then, POW! The band footage. Again, this contrast works great... just would rather see better production value in the opening shot.

Also, if I may... I am a fan of shallow DOF but felt that your use confused me a bit. First of all, I would rather have had your footage show just a bit more of who was walking in. (Either by holding onto the shot a little longer or using footage as she passes the gauge.) And secondly, the blurred person is taking off a dark top and then the immediate cut following is the person taking off a light top. The cut is nicely done because the action is continuous but the wardrobe change caught my eye and stood out. But that is just me being picky.

I loved what you did. Great job and congrats. I hope many more projects come your way. You cetainly have a nice piece to show off your work!

Great Job Noah. As everyone has said, the shooting and editing were great. I dunno--the office scene worked for me. Suggested some motivation and backstory.

(btw--Sorry for the email mixup).

its ok, the back ground is over exposed on the office stuff, and the stage stuff doesnt seem to be lit at all, just to dark.

Did anyone catch the video on mtv2 last night? Just wondering, because it wasn't the compressed version everyone's been seeing?
