Which Authorized Dealer is Selling the DVX100B for the Lowest Price?

Hi,

I've been searching and searching. I was going to buy from Willoughby's, but they raised their price! I'm wondering which authorized Panasonic dealer is selling the DVX100B for the lowest price? I've been doing a lot of online searches, but may have missed some places.
Thanks!

KarlB...I tried to buy my second DVX100B today...priced all over the web...I only consider buying from the Panasonic authorized dealers listed on the panasonic site. However, this time, like last, I tried my best to go with the EVS guys to support the folks in the forum who seem to have an interest in that...but...even though they gave me a price that was $20 cheaper than Adorama, the EVS salesperson first tried to sell me a $30 piece of plain glass that fits over the lens, then when I said 'That's ok', he said he was going to check on the shipping price and would be right back. He came back with a quote of $67 to ship it to me. I'm not kidding. I bought an 8ft crane today from a major OEM and it only costs $40 to ship the whole thing! So...I informed the EVS person of this...and he insisted that's what it would cost. I felt like I was getting shafted...and in fact...Adorama charged on $30 to ship it and came out ahead in the end. So, I purchase my new DVX100B from them today...along with about $5000 more in additional related items.

I was really puzzeled with the EVS thing. Very surprising to me how that was handled...it would seem, as an outside, that they've gotten big enough that one sale doesn't matter any longer.

So...my advice...right now...is to go with Adorama.

Good luck.

The main reason we all liked EVS so much was that Rush Hamden worked there, and he was absolutely stellar at customer service.

But Rush isn't there anymore. He left the company. So now DVXUser endorses Abel Cine Tech for anything and everything; Abel has NY and LA stores, they're a huge dealer, and AbelJerrod (Jerrod from Abel) is a member of DVXUser who supports us.

I went with New Egg. They promised me the Barry Green book and editing software, so I'm hoping for the rebate.

I've been told that it should be offered, since it's a US unit and it comes with the editing software and Barry Green book. I'll let everyone know by week's end, when the camera arrives.

Okay, ladies and gents. I received my DVX100B from New Egg today. Included was a piece of paper telling me to go to a certain website to redeem the Barry Green/Magic Bullet Editing software. I went to the website and filled in the relevant information. I'm hoping I'll receive my $400 rebate, as well.

Okay, I checked the status of my rebate and it states that I should be receiving $400. So as of now, it looks promising.

Okay, I received my rebate check from Panasonic. So to answer the question: Yes, I bought my DVX from New Egg and received a rebate. :-) It took roughly two months.

Magic bullet isn't an editing software but it is very very helpful for anyone going for the "film look."

I have searched and NewEgg website to see what all comes with the camera (battery, charger, etc). Can anyone tell me for sure what all comes with it...thanks.

How do you know they are "very good and reliable"?

They aren't even authorized so you might not get your rebate stuff.
