dvx movie trailer - reworked

I absolutely loved this trailer! I watched the first one and this one and this one hooked my emotions. When you see that they have only 4 days together at the beginning, everything becomes more poignant. Each scene has a tension that makes you wonder why they have to go and the desire that they would not have to separate. This rocked! Great framing, lighting, and camera movement!
 
It made me want to see the whole thing, so I suppose that means it worked effectively as a preview! It looked very well shot. Don't know much about the story other than the "4 days" thing, but it really made me want to find out more. Good stuff!
 
I usually just have a blank expression when I watch trailers, but when the guy runs to to girl at the end and they embrace, I couldn't help but smile. Great job.
 
I don't mean this in a bad way but it really goes to show how much emotion music can provide in trailers. Would it have had the same impact if you had used a different song?

Looks fantastic. I'd pay to see it.
 
I just noticed this thread... sorry for the late reply.

I have to admit, I like the first one much better. If you remember, I was the one that was ranting and raving over it and comparing it to the Garden State trailer.

Well, after reading some of the other posts after mine, I could clearly see that others had good points about it, and maybe I hastily threw my comment out there because of how much I enjoyed it. The most important (I think) is that the first did not show any conflict. After someone else brought it up, I noticed it also and agreed that it was lacking in that aspect.

But... The VO at the beginning and the song really made the mood of the trailer, and...

argggg... I'm late and gotta go, but I'll come back and reply.



I suggest you let people see both trailers on one thread, and then get some responses.
