At first I thought it was fake then I watched it very slowly. Pay attention to the SUV and you will see it actually slams on its breaks. Then pay attention to the white car and it actually speeds up. I also believe the suv slighty taps the black car

The car does interact with the other cars so if it's fake it's a good one. The People in the crosswalk stop to watch the car also.

i think it's real. if you watch the two people crossing the street they stop when the car flies through. also there's a red car about to turn right into the path of the black car, and it slams on it's breaks as the car comes through.

that's just nuts.

that's crazy. but it looks like the car that runs the red light makes a little contact with the white car. watch how it is pushed. wonder what that guy was thinking about. maybe he was surfing DVxuser on his blackberry and wasn't paying attention. :)

Damn, I just logged in so that I could post this video.

Crazy. I think it's real, and if it's not, he needs to be hired by a VFX house STAT.

Crazy stuff. That guy must have been fated for some other way to die because that was as close as it gets.

I think it's fake. If you look, you can see that car go through the white one. Something could have happened on that street, but I don't think it was that.

It looks real. Even the smoke from the the hard braking is broken up and affected by the black truck, which has clearly braked in response. The pedestrains react, looking at the car and then back to he right to see if there are any more idiots in their immediate future. The lighting is right, the shadows are right, everything looks real to me. I wish there was a higher quality verison with more detail. So many artifacts, but they do help make it look authentic.

I'm starting to lean towards fake. The SUV that slams on his brakes and almost hits the black car continues to drive afterwards. If I were him I would have stopped and taken a deep breath before continuing. He acts as if it's a squirrel in the road. Also, if this were the real world the SUV driver would have followed the idiot, caught up to him, and flipped him off.

It's amazing how all this technology has made us question everything we see. We're becoming victims of our own brilliance.

Ok, since so many of you think it's fake, let's look at it technically.

First of all, what kind of person would block off a whole intersection to stage a 5 second video like this? It's not even that spectacular of a video to watch.

Most cities, if you block off an intersection, you use police officers that you have to pay by the hour. Not only that, but you need permission by the city government in order to go through with such a request. They will repeatedly ask you why you are blocking off the intersection, and once they find out you are trying to stage a 'fake' red light run, I'm sure they won't be impressed.

Third and foremost, this had to be luck. Go through the video right when the car makes it into the intersection. Clearly, the SUV sees him out of the corner of his eye and brakes immediately to avoid the wreck. At the same time, the car that ran the light hits his brakes so he doesn't hit the white car in front of him. It was a very ironic coincidence that both these vehicles hit their brakes around the same time, both so they wouldn't hit a car in front of them. I'm pretty sure that if this was a stunt that they would time it more perfectly to where the cars wouldn't have to brake so much. Seriously, the SUV SLAMS on his brakes, while the car that runs the light does so too. It seems very ironic that all the pieces come together like this.

Also, who would use such a shitty camera like this if it wasn't real? Maybe they used it to make it look more real, or maybe, just MAYBE it was in fact a real intersection with real people and a real car running a red light. Of course this is all hypothetically speaking.

I forgot to mention the cars behind the SUV. These cars slow down to, but since they have a huge SUV in front of them, their reaction time to braking isn't nearly as fast. Look at the mini van in the farthest lane, that thing is cruising a long, and then you see the car run the light. This minivan had to slow down atleast a good 10mph. Just look at how it disappears behind the small truck because of it slowing down. And then if you look at the red car in the background, it is trying to make a right turn going the way the car that ran the red light went. He sits there flabbergasted (haven't used that word in forever), when he clearly has much more time to turn. I think he was second guessing himself after he saw that car fly by.

I have not forget it at the first time. there something wrong wiht that car. I do not know wheter it is a roto problem or compression problem.

I'm thinking it's real, but wonder why someone was filming a boring intersection with a crummy camcorder. You know, of course, if it was a DVX that even a boring intersection would have been worth a spot on the grabs and clips forum.

In some larger cities they have cameras that are used to track crime at certain busy interesections
